Something about me
Sorglose Nacht is the blog of Paul Tulipana.
I'm currently working on my MA in Philosophy at Georgia State University. My systematic interests in philosophy are mostly metaethical. Specifically, I am concerned with modern Kantian practical reason and the metaphysical structure of action. My main historical interest is German idealism, and particularly Hegel. I like to do work on the former by means of the latter.
For the last several years, I worked as a programmer. I was recruited to that work at the European Graduate School.
My current professional work is in design ethics and government transparency. I blog the former with Nick Senske at BlogLESS.
Here I am on LinkedIn, Delicious, and Twitter.
I also like playing music, running, esoteric programming languages, and Modernist literature.
Colophon
Both Sorglose Nacht and "Silence, I know you by hearsay," are references to Blanchot.
"Die sorglose Nacht, the careless night, when that which cannot awaken keeps watch." (The Writing of the Disaster, 50)
